19 inches of snow, Superb Owl Sunday
My friends in the UK say it’s snowing. My Canadian friends and I say, “that’s cute”. The side streets are still messed up. My MINI Cooper would have been no match. I got it beached in the snow once. Even my Touareg TDI with AWD briefly got stuck in the alley. I was tempted to buy snow tires. When I was a kid in Michigan, everyone had snow tires and at least one bag of sand or salt in their trunk or boot at my British friends say. I don’t have a bag of sand or salt in my VW but I have a small shovel. I had to use it to dig out a Camry. That wasn’t the workout I wanted on my way to work.

Snowy diagonals for Heidi Bouman
February 5, 2015
10 – 20 cm forecast for today, I will admit that a nice dump of snow Chad Haney ! 🙂
February 5, 2015
Terry McNeil, 25 cm of snow was forecasted and we got 49 cm.
February 5, 2015
Time to make a snow fort? 😀
February 5, 2015
Ana is obviously unfazed by it.
What can I say, we don’t get hit with snow like you do, we fall apart. I do carry a shovel in Audrey’s boot.
February 5, 2015
The snow was so deep that Ana had trouble finding a spot to pee. I had to clear a place for her to poop. Other than that, she loves the fresh snow. She jumps around in it and dives after her frisbee.
February 5, 2015
Terry McNeil, I haven’t made a snow fort in eons. I remember we used to dig out forts in the big mounds of snow in the parking lots.
February 5, 2015
Jason M, I didn’t go to work Monday either. I dug the woman out of the snow on Tuesday, on my way to work.
February 5, 2015
We rarely see proper snow like that down these parts (Scotland on the other hand…)
February 5, 2015
Anna Robertson Davis, you are welcome to visit any time if you want to see more snow. You can even bring ACB and Nikki along.
February 5, 2015
Those are some very snowy ADs, thanks Chad Haney 🙂
ping alter ego Asynchronous Diagonals
February 5, 2015
I’ll stick them in my wheelie suitcase Chad Haney !
February 5, 2015
I’m easily collapsible 🙂
February 5, 2015
Anna Robertson Davis, you might need a separate suitcase for ACB. He’ll probably try to bring MiniM.
February 5, 2015
And also it would not be fair on Nikki C what with the probability of noxious gasses being emitted by him.
February 5, 2015
That’s just ridiculous.
How do you survive that much snow?
February 5, 2015
We are used to it, Brigitte W.. To use Nikki C’s terminology, my pesky wrist didn’t like that much snow.
February 5, 2015
Clothes pegs work a treat for the smells or Vicks!
Have you adopted pesky into everyday use Chad Haney?
February 5, 2015
Nikki C, not yet. I’m sure it isn’t a British thing. I mean pesky not ACB.
February 5, 2015
Wow!! Stay warm! 😊
February 5, 2015
I didn’t say it was British. Perhaps adopt ‘tally ho’.
February 5, 2015
Nikki C, I shall spring that on my colleagues. Tally ho indeed.
February 5, 2015
It’s -9°C, Kawthar A, a bit warmer than this morning.
February 5, 2015
Just like here three weeks ago…brrrrr
February 5, 2015
Kawthar A that seems really cold. I wonder if it’s because the elevation there. Stay warm KK.
February 5, 2015

Hi Chad, this is Heidi acting as my alter ego, I’m not allowed to share your snowpocalypse even though the post is set to public. You probably have very sensible privacy settings on your photos 🙂
February 6, 2015
Heidi Bouman, I often disable re-shares on photos that are of my dog, home, etc.
February 6, 2015
Completely understand Chad Haney 🙂
