Cindy Brown, I have a cousin in Redondo Beach, CA and I remember seeing them all over the place. Hawaii and Thailand are even more nonchalant about bird of paradise, orchids, etc.

In fact you don’t want them next to your house foundations.  They’re best in huge pots.  I bet you have to baby yours along?

Lovely pics. Coincidentally was watching actual Birds of Paradise (the birds) in a documentary a few nights ago.

LOL! In small spaces, we have plants and trees outside the window. And lots of crows and pigeons fighting for space 🙂

Bwahahahahah Chad Haney –  the only flowers around me are any floral fabrics I may use! I have the most awesome black thumb of any person I know. I’m pretty sure I can’t keep a cactus alive ^_^

I grew some green chillies once. Named them too… but there’s no real space inside. I may take a pic of a crow and post it 🙂

Oh weather’s lovely for it…… and many of my friends are very accomplished gardeners. A friend’s even got a fab bonsai collection in his apartment.

Chad Haney – no doubt. And we get an empirical demo outside our living room window of that intelligence every day 🙂
