The remains of summer

The remains of summer

Our cattleya bloomed again. It’s been a year if not two, since it last bloomed. Most people already know how fickle orchids can be. However, it’s putting on quite a show right now. Sorry Google can’t transmit smell yet. Our dahlia is pretty sad, only two blooms so far. Maybe some of the buds will pop but I doubt it.

Maybe next summer will be warmer like BC Canada, eh Peter Lindelauf ? I don’t think Rajini Rao’s garden fared much better.

Happy #FloralFriday

Peter Lindelauf, we are getting close to moving plants indoors too. I’ll probably put my bulbs in this weekend. I hope I still have room in the garden.

I have a sense that my garden will look better in the spring compared to this summer. Last spring was certainly a good display of flowers.

Oh, and I’m not having much luck with the compost. It’s not hot enough. One bin is too dry and the other might be too wet.

Peter Lindelauf we have something that’s like a cross between a mum and a daisy.
