You’re going to cause yourself some harm shovelling one handed.

    Be careful please Chad.

Akinola Emmanuel, funny you mention Christkindlmarket. I was just thinking of seeing who wants to do a group outing.

Nikki C, I pushed the snow instead of trying to lift it. Don’t worry. I’m thinking of buying a snow blade meant for pushing rather than shoveling. http://goo.gl/TFRVjG

Mostly college kids. The few high school kids have parents at the university. They are either not interested or they are too busy.

Where are you located?  I can understand that it may be hard to find a young entrepreneur for snow duty.  When I was a kid, all the kids over age ten were expected to shovel out for all the neighbors.  And we all particularly looked out for the older folks.  It sure is different now.

Aha! Was thinking that. Had seen your photos and one by Lauri Novak and heard from my folks up there so I was right! Hope it didn’t freeze over the snow.

Enough fire will melt snow; ergo, make much fire.

Just northwest of me, O’Hare airport had 28.4 cm of snow. I believe that’s the second largest amount of snow for the first snowfall of the year in Chicago.

Akinola Emmanuel, we should save up enough money to go to Christkindlmarket with Steven Spence and Stephanie Dreyfürst in Germany. That should be on my bucket list

When are you thinking of going downtown? We should start a private thread for that.
