No sign of my shasta daisies yet, but the dahlias are still putting on a show. The hydrangeas bloomed while we were camping so I didn’t bother to take a photo of them, past their peak.

A bit late for #FloralFriday but the dahlias aren’t disappointing this year. There are still several buds so we need to figure out how to tie them up for a bit longer. They are so tall that a lot of them have fallen over even with stakes.

I just realized that I’ve been so busy that I haven’t posted any photos of flowers this summer. We’ve had a relatively warm and wet summer. The rose bush that was present when we purchased the house finally put on a good show (after nearly a decade). As I mentioned to Nikki C, my dahlias are taller than me.

Here’s a shot just south of Sleeping Bear Dune National Park. Let’s hope we can get another 100 years with our national parks intact. I plan to visit as many national parks as I can before I kick the bucket. #NPS100
