We have one orchid that’s trying bud. The Christmas cacti are about to bloom. Other than that, not much going on for flowers.

Another week flew by and I bet another weekend will fly by. I’m not sure if any more dahlias will bloom.

Shasta Daisy

Our Shasta daisy (Leucanthemum × superbum) is blooming. The dahlias are blooming, while the hydrangea is petering out. How’s your garden?

The remains of summer

Our cattleya bloomed again. It’s been a year if not two, since it last bloomed. Most people already know how fickle orchids can be. However, it’s putting on quite a show right now. Sorry Google can’t transmit smell yet. Our dahlia is pretty sad, only two blooms so far. Maybe some of the buds will pop but I doubt it.

Maybe next summer will be warmer like BC Canada, eh Peter Lindelauf ? I don’t think Rajini Rao’s garden fared much better.

Macro flowers could be better

I need to try the tip from Wanda Howe and put a cup on the end of my camera, even if it isn’t a fancy camera.
