Spring?

Spring?

I’m starting to shift my focus to flowers outdoors. Our snowdrops have been in bloom for a few days. The crocuses are about to bloom. The tulips and daffodils are not far behind. Our rhubarb is breaking through the soil and leaves. So maybe spring is here.

Peter Lindelauf, you are in Canada. Your garden isn’t supposed to bloom before mine. I wonder how Rajini Rao’s garden is doing.

We still have snow on the ground, although patchy. Daffodils and tulips sticking out of the ground, but nothing blooming yet. I’ve been too busy grant writing and reviewing to check for crocuses and snowdrops (drive into the garage and out). Drat!

I have been almost that busy. I need to clean up the garden and fix my compost.

Oh yes, I am. Insanely busy. I did 14 consecutive grad student interviews while holed up in a hotel during a snow storm, then went on two back to back grant review sections between west and east coasts, came back to finish a multi-institutional (heck, multinational) grant, dealt with an infected tooth/abscess/swollen jaw with emergency surgery, and returned to more meetings on Friday all within two weeks. But I did miss the Dean’s faculty meeting, thanks to the two teeth being removed (including a wisdom tooth since it was conveniently there). Fortunately, my husband has filled all my pain meds and the 800 mg ibuprofen is working well (haven’t had to reach for the codeine yet) 😀

I’m not sure I should combine wine with antibiotics but I’m past caring so all is well.

Thanks, I’m not complaining really! That’s why I’m relaxing on G+ while the family are messing around in the kitchen 🙂

60% chance of snow tonight. Should I send it your way, Peter Lindelauf?

Me too Peter Lindelauf. I wonder if Wanda Howe is still buried in snow.
