Christmas in California 2018
Happy new year all. We spent Christmas in California this year. Our parents are getting old. I don’t think my FIL wants to travel anymore. I can’t really blame him. I think he’s about 86.
My nephew is 10 now and it was nice to see him again. I think it’s been 8 or 9 years since the last time I saw him. He picked Roger Rabbit and The Christmas Chronicles to watch on Netflix, which were both funny. We did a lot of walking. I should have brought my boots. How was your holiday?

I survived. Haven’t seen most of my relatives yet: later in January. Your holidays look a lot warmer than mine!

Mine was great. I spent 6 days/5 nights in the high desert of Arizona and Utah, hitting Zion (super crowded cause of shutdown), Bryce Canyon (mostly closed, -5F just before dawn), and the area around those and Vermillion Cliffs National Monument/Grand Staircase-Escalante NP. The Southwest is a trip. Also some the clearest skies I’ve ever seen.

I have a bunch to go thru and edit, but it shouldn’t be too long 🙂
